Positive Signs in Real Estate market
Last month we reported on the newly expanded homebuyer tax credit as a positive sign in the real estate market. This month we report that home sales ended a decline and rebounded slightly in Southeast Ohio for 2009. This is the first annual increase since the local housing market began a steady decline in 2005. This is hopeful news and gives us reason to believe that the bottom of the region's declining home sales may have passed. First time buyers purchased 43 percent of homes in December and experts say that these tax credits will yield a sales gain this year despite the concern about the job market. With sales on the upswing we are optimistic that prices will begin to rebound as well.

Now is the time for the "For Sale BY Owner" to take advantage of these favorable conditions.
